My Story
Like many others who work in helping professions, I first became interested in working in the field of psychology to better understand my own struggles and what contributed to them.
Closely bonded to that has been a lifelong curiosity in understanding the internal world of other people – particularly given my own history of “not fitting in” and perpetual sense of disconnection and isolation. I struggled in silence for many years before finally admitting to myself that I needed help.
I feel grateful to have so many sources of connection and joy in my life today and in large part credit this to my own personal therapy journey. I am in the very fortunate position to now be able to provide assistance to others who are in need.”
“Fountains are like thoughts, always bubbling up from the depths of our minds.”

My Professional Experience
Professionally, I have worked across several sectors before starting my own private practice. Following completion of my postgraduate training in clinical psychology in 2014, I worked closely with autistic children and their families. This work focussed on embracing a neurodivergent identity as well as assisting autistic children and their families to navigate a neurotypical world.
I then spent several years working at a private hospital where I was a senior facilitator on a trauma recovery program catered for both military veterans and first responders. It was here where I became interested in further understanding the legacies of trauma and adversity on both the body and the mind. It remains a keen area of interest of mine and has now extended into developmental trauma (often termed cPTSD).
Finally, my most recent position prior to moving into private practice full-time was working in a tertiary education setting with both domestic and international students. This took the form of both group and individual work and was quite varied depending on the needs of the student. It allowed me to not only refine my humanistic approach to therapy, but to also sharpen the focus of therapeutic goals given the short-term nature of therapy in tertiary education settings.
